Who knew man could shatter,
Splinter into a million pieces,
Willfully lying on the ground;
No want to rebuild, reconstruct,
When pain is so real, so deep;
When breathing crumbles the mind,
Forces reality to take hold,
Sobers the love drunk soul
Who knew heartbreak
Could make your bones ache;
Make it feel like your beating heart
Is being ripped from your tender chest;
Make the mind drown in tears and fears;
Make man feel so empty,
While filled with a loneliness undescribable;
Who knew man could die and yet live
