Life fades to black
Into a silence noise envies;
A silence that shouts above everything,
A silence that heals the heart
Waiting on a kiss that breaks the mind;
Closing my eyes taking in a breath,
Trickling water down my cheeks;
Fading to darker times,
A silence that quakes the body,
A silence that calms the seas,
Wishing on the stars for your everlasting love;
A love like no other has known,
A forbidden love that falls into lust;
Life flirts with the thought of light,
A silence that cures all ills,
A silence that carries away all woes,
Everything becomes so crystal clear;
The pounding of my heart shatters existence,
Lips quivering for a kiss that annihilates all;
Fade to black, drifting quickly away,
And the calming silence is all gone,
The noise of my mind screeches loudly;
I touched—we touched, simply;
I cried from this lustful mind dying!
A silence I wish I could hold;
For dreams are sweeter than reality,
Or so I’m told.
